One of our most popular items is our Angry "Arrabiatta" Pasta that features Cavatappi pasta, Italian sausage, wild mushrooms and a spicy tomato sauce.
Many of our customers appreciate it for its unique flavor profile and the preparation and presentation that our Chef/Owner David Wiesner brings to the dish.
If you’re not familiar with this iconic entrée (available for both lunch and dinner) here is a little information about our Angry Pasta:
Arrabbiata sauce, or sugo all'arrabbiata in Italian, is a spicy sauce for pasta made from garlic, tomatoes, and dried red chili peppers cooked in olive oil. The sauce originates from the Lazio region, around Rome.
Arrabbiata literally means "angry" in Italian; the name of the sauce refers to the spiciness of the chili peppers.
Arrabbiata sauce is usually served with penne pasta. The dish has been celebrated several times in Italian movies, notably in Marco Ferreri's La Grande Bouffe and Federico Fellini's Roma.
