CA lifts restrictions allowing restaurants to sell alcohol

CA lifts restrictions allowing restaurants to sell alcohol | Siena Bistro

Alcohol to-go

The California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) on Friday said it would temporarily suspend enforcement of certain regulations to sustain the restaurant industry during the statewide emergency declaration by Gov. Gavin Newsom.

Temporarily lifting the restrictions would not jeopardize the public’s health and safety, the department said. Virginia, New York and Colorado have also loosened liquor restrictions during the coronavirus outbreak.

Restaurants and bars that serve food for delivery or takeout will be able to sell alcohol along with food orders. In addition to pre-packaged bottled wine and beer that some restaurants already offer to-go, restaurants can offer beer, wine or cocktails in a container with a secure lid if accompanied by food for delivery or pickup.

Enjoy a bottle of wine a bottle of beer or Get Lost on Lincoln (one of our signature drinks) during our Return to Normalcy.

Client's Review

Our customers aren't afraid to tell the world that we've done a great job!

We chose to eat here for Christmas Eve. There were several tables of regulars dining at the same time, so the restaurant overall felt like a warm family dining room. We were treated as well as any regulars.

The food was delicious, with several interesting options for vegetarians beyond just pasta, and a more complete menu than most restaurants offer on Christmas Eve (no prix fixe menu). The braised short ribs with bourbon stout glaze were rich and delicious, as was the veggie risotto.

A must-have is the cheesy garlic bread - outstanding! Also, the standard garlic vinaigrette salad dressing was delicious and well suited to the salad.

We had a lovely celebration and are looking forward to our next visit
